SCU Participates in the 2024 Korea Glocal Education Fair - Co-hosted by Jeollanamdo Education Office, Ministry of Education, Jeollanam Province, and Gyeongsangbukdo Education Office, as a sole cyber university - May 29th - June 2nd, Yeosu Expo Hall  [Photo] 2024 Korea Glocal Education Fair Our university is taking part in the '2024 Korea Glocal Education Fair,' introducing a fresh approach to future education. This expo runs from May 29th (Wednesday) to June 2nd (Sunday) at Yeosu World Expo Hall. Co-organized by Jeollanamdo Office of Education, Ministry of Education, Jeollanam Province, and Gyeongsangbukdo Office of Education, it centers on the theme of 'Symbiotic Education, Sustainable Future.' After 1 year and 3 months of preparation, this highly anticipated expo, involving 22 countries and expecting 160,000 visitors, offers diverse programs across 5 sections: Future Education Conference, Glocal Future Classrooms, Future Education Exhibition, Cultural and Artistic Exchange, and Future Education Festival. Keynote lectures related to Glocal Future Education are also being prepared. Special lectures by world-renowned education leaders such as Michael Sandel, Professor at Harvard University; Dennis Hong, Professor at California State University; Paul Kim, Associate Dean of Stanford Graduate School of Education; Thomas Frey, Director of the Da Vinci Institute; and Tan Oon Seng, former President of the National Institute of Education in Singapore, are scheduled to take place. Attendees can explore various aspects of future education, from the 2030 Future Classroom model developed and shared by over 400 teachers from Jeollanam Province to discussions on the direction of future education with global scholars. They can also encounter the landscape of future education, including distinctive curricula from different countries.  [Photo] The booth of our university at EduTech Company Pavilion Our university will be participating in the EduTech Company Pavilion at this expo. Particularly, as the sole representative from cyber universities, we are joining this expo, which presents the future direction of education in South Korea. Our university will showcase specialized content utilizing patented technologies such as SCU Sensory Content Production Technology, Digital Human Utilization Content Production, Multi-Channel Video Development, SCU AI Chatbot, and SCU Metaverse, allowing comprehensive exploration of our accumulated e-learning technologies over the past two decades. President Lee Eunjoo expressed, "We are extremely honored to have our university participate in this expo, which presents the paradigm of future education." She continued, "Through this expo, we hope to showcase to a wider audience the direction and paradigm of future education pursued by Seoul Cyber University. |
