Department Overview
Interest in and understanding of the relations between humans and space have grown alongside the socio-economic development and enhanced cultural level. Architecture treating space is a convergence science combining engineering, arts, humanities, and social sciences. Professional architects are basically required to have scientific and creative competencies, aesthetic sense, and humanistic literacy. The work treating space is also one of the knowledge industries creating high added values. It requires education commensurate to such work including professional and special competencies.
The Architectural Space Design Department provides you with opportunities to advance into related areas suitable for your aptitudes through two types of specialized professional education: architecture and interior decoration. These specialized education programs foster students into specialized technical personnel required by society.

Purpose and Objectives of Education
Architecture enables human living by organizing the peripheral environment and assigns values to history and society through space. As architecture is represented by the work of developing and realizing the physical environment, architects should have a critical mind as to how much they could contribute to society where we coexist while questioning and agonizing over space. Therefore, as architects should be able to present healthy, upright architectural solutions based on intuition across overall humanities, society, and culture, the education should have purposes of values suitable for such functions.
The Architectural Space Design Department aims to provide practical education for upright personalities to foster architects who create beautiful and secure space for human beings while developing the talents and aptitudes of its individual students.

Career Opportunities upon Graduation
This department is divided into two tracks; building construction and interior construction. The building construction track may be further divided into architectural design (including supervision) and execution of building construction. Architectural design teaches students from building plans to drawing and supervision courses required for design and execution at an architectural design office. Building construction performs the role of actually constructing a building based on drawings completed by the design office. Interior construction generally wins orders for both design and execution. It is partly because design fees for the interior construction are not paid or deposited separately. Thus, interior construction contractors perform all processes of the interior construction work.
