Our school is holding a global online training designed to strengthen the capability of educators specializing in international cooperation for building peace in Asia for ten days from August 2, 2021.
The session for enhancing Kyrgyzstan's capability for education related to peace and development is participated in by a total of 23 experts including officials concerned at the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, affiliated institutions, and faculty members of Kyrgyz National University.
The session carried out with KOICA's initiative is a program designed to provide support for human resources development and establishment of the relevant systems essential for developing countries' economic/social development with the sharing of what South Korea has experienced.
This year's session is being held in contactless mode like last year due to COVID-19. At the session, attendees will share the two countries' experience in peace-related education through the following contents dealt with through seminars: reports on the status of each country, workshop for the formulation of action plants, presentation of action plans formulated thus, and case studies.
According to Prof. GWON Gusun (specialization: international cooperation and affairs of North Korea), who is in charge of the session, the session is very meaningful as one designed to develop the capability of educators who are supposed to play a pivotal role for children/youths and as an effort to lay steppingstones for the establishment of a society where their freedom, rights, and prosperity are ensured. We will do our best to strengthen our country's capability for building peace concerning the need for coexistence of different races as a multinational state, Prof. GWON added.
Our school also ran a program to enhance the capability of developing countries like Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, El Salvador, Kazakhstan, etc. in e-Learning contents-related technology.
Our school is the country's first to obtain a grade of A in three consecutive evaluations of domestic cyber universities by MOE, being equipped with a unique online education system optimized for the contactless era.
In 2021, our school was selected as the recipient of MOE's first financial support project for online universities; thus, it will be able to contribute more to the expansion of updated online education demand and dissemination of good-quality remote education through the establishment of the relevant infrastructure.
